Sweet Sophia

Herro dere! I've been uber busy with school. I've been surprising myself and been studying really well and preparing for exams weeks ahead of time (not like last year when I would just study that week for that exam). I feel really good because I feel like I'm better able to manage my time. :) I guess it's because 2nd year of vet school is a lot harder than 1st year. It also seems a heck of a lot more important in terms of content, so I really want to know the material you know? It motivates me to try and prepare this year. Plus, the fact that it's harder scares me I think! Anyhoodles.. a couple weeks ago, Mike and I went with Allison and Jeff to Nebraska to watch Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers perform... they are amazing. :) Posting a song I really like by them... good night!

Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers
"Sweet Sophia"

"When you showed up, you showed up right on time
An elegant sweetheart that just blew my mind
I guess the keys to my castle had always been there
There for taking
But nothing could prepare me
For...

Sweet Sophia
Girl one look at you and I was hooked
and then
Sweet Sophia
Thundering beds and the earthquakes shook
With your heart shaped lips and my breath that you took

With a fierce disposition like the beat of a drum
You get hurt more than others, but you have more fun
I can't make it stop so the love keeps on growing
If it killed me today I'd be better off for knowing

Sweet Sophia
Girl one look at you and I was hooked
and then
Sweet Sophia
Burned all the pages and re-wrote the book
With your heart shaped lips and my breath that you took

You know who I am and I know where you're from
You may blame me later and that's okay my love
You're my finest hour, believe what I say
And though I might go I will never stay away

Sweet Sophia
Girl one look at you and I was hooked
and then
Sweet Sophia
You stole my soul with a laugh and a look
With your heart shaped lips and my breath that you took

With your heart shaped lips and my breath that you took
And my breath
Little girl that you took
Sweet Sophia"

A song that Stephen Kellogg wrote about one of his daughters. :)
